My dad shot with a film camera and it was always fascinating to me. When I was young, he would take my mom and I to the beach and take photos of us that would decorate our walls weeks later.

He was the one who bought me my first camera and made me promise to send photos of my husband and I on our many adventures when we moved away from home to our first duty station. For years, that camera was set up on a tripod so I could capture our yearly Christmas card photos. It also captured fun images of our first rescue dogs, images from the very first sessions I charged for, and unbeknownst to me at the time, would be the camera that captured the last photo I ever took of my dad...

For me, that realization was pivotal. I was taking precious moments in time and stilling them to be remembered forever. And not just the fun, cute photos—but the really impactful ones too. Everytime I look through my camera's viewfinder, I am brought back to my why. Why capturing moments matters to me. It's intimate and sincere and truly magical when you think about it. I am immortalizing memories and I am so thankful that whatever the future holds, I can confidently say that at this point in my life, the Lord has given me a purpose and talent in creating memories for special people. I will never take it lightly.

The right photos will document more than action. I strive to fill each photo with emotion, depicting the vibe to transport you right back into the moment, creating your love story and allowing future generations to share in your day as if they were there with you.

“When I find myself in a moment where I am experiencing true joy in my own life, I grab my camera to capture it in some way.

I find that imagery has a unique ability to bring us right back to the emotions we felt in a particular moment, and I love knowing I am giving that to each couple that trusts me with their wedding day.”

moments of togetherness...

When my husband was in the military, we moved a few times and traveled often — I liked to capture photos of us together in each new place and on our adventures.

Early on in my career, I began photographing dogs at shelters to help them find permanent homes. Later, I photographed moments of love in the lives of my friends, like when they were expecting a new little one.

I quickly realized that capturing love for families and generations was the most beautiful thing I could do and I fell head-over-heels for weddings. Wedding photography is impactful and when done right, it can tell the genuine story of a couple to give the next generation a peek into their love story.
