My love for photography started with my dad and his film camera. As a child, I was fascinated watching him capture our beach days—moments that would later fill the walls of our home. He was the one who gave me my first camera, with a promise that I’d send photos of my husband and me as we moved away on our first military adventure.

That camera became a witness to so many milestones—our Christmas card photos, the playful chaos of our first rescue dogs, the first sessions I ever charged for. And, unknowingly, it also captured the last photo I would ever take of my dad.

That realization changed everything for me. Photography isn’t just about beautiful images—it’s about preserving the moments that matter most, the ones you’ll look back on years from now and feel all over again. Every time I lift my camera, I’m reminded of why I do this. It’s intimate, sincere, and, in so many ways, magical.
