This Dauphin Island wedding shines with beauty and authenticity. At last, the wedding I’m about to share with you, embodies the essence of classic Southern charm, love, and connection.
Connor and Sara’s love story began in the digital age, meeting on the dating site Bumble. Their connection was instant, even though they hadn’t known each other before the world of online dating brought them together. As I got to know them, I could see the depth of their love and the bond they shared.
In many ways, their greatest accomplishments set the stage for their journey together. At this point, Connor’s achievement of making the all-star soccer team for high school soccer in the state of Alabama and Sara’s completion of a master’s degree in occupational therapy were just the beginning of their shared successes.
Connor and Sara’s love story is one of connection, laughter, and shared dreams. As their wedding photographer, my goal is to direct, not pose, creating images that reflect their true selves. Just as Connor and Sara have blended their friendships and even played matchmaker for others, I aimed to be more than just a photographer on their special day. I wanted to be their wedding day hype girl, their hair touch-up artist, and their general good vibe enthusiast.
One amusing anecdote from the day that I will always cherish involved Sara and her mother. As I was in the room with them while they prepared for the ceremony, I left briefly to capture details. To my surprise, I saw Sara’s mother again, this time dressed in an entirely different outfit. I couldn’t help but be utterly confused. It turns out, her mom had a twin, a delightful family secret that they had forgotten to share with me!
Their hopes for their wedding day were simple and profound, mirroring the way they approached their relationship: to capture raw, authentic moments that reflected their true selves and the emotions that would flow through their special day.
When asked about their dream destinations for a free roundtrip flight, Connor expressed his desire to explore Italy, savoring the culture, cuisine, and the country’s rich history. Meanwhile, Sara’s heart longed for Utah, a place where she and Connor were planning their future honeymoon, to witness the majestic beauty of Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. Their dreams were as vibrant and diverse as their love.
Ceremony & Reception Locations: Dauphin Island Methodist Church – a small church nestled in the heart of Dauphin Island, AL.
This was a classic Southern wedding in every sense, filled with tradition and warmth. The ceremony took place at the Dauphin Island United Methodist Church, a charming and intimate venue, echoing the spirit of the island itself. The reception was held in the same location, making it a seamless transition from the sacred to the celebratory.
Connor and Sara’s wedding was a small, intimate affair, but it was brimming with love and joy. Their guests, a wonderfully kind and diverse group of friends and family, filled the atmosphere with warmth and happiness.
It’s a great responsibility to capture the memories and feelings that people will cherish for generations. I take this duty to heart, understanding the importance of preserving the moments that define your love story.
My approach to wedding photography is deeply rooted in connection. I aim to be another friend in the room, sharing the experience with you. I believe that this connection is what allows us to capture images that are truly bespoke and timeless, catered to your unique love story.
